Qualifications I have an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling from Middlesex University, as well as an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling from The Minster Centre, London.
‘Integrative’ means that my training included a number of different therapeutic approaches (e.g. psychodynamic, person-centred, relational, CBT, gestalt). When working with you, I will draw upon the most appropriate approach according to your individual needs.
Professional memberships and registrations As a registered member of the BACP and the UKCP, I abide by the BACP’s Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and the UKCP's Ethical Principles and Code of Professional Conduct.
I am a registered psychotherapist with AXA PPP Healthcare and Aviva private health insurance.
Background and experience Before training and practising as a therapist, I worked for more than 12 years in marketing and business development in the property and professional services industries. I therefore understand some of the stresses and strains of corporate life and the difficulties that may arise from trying to balance work with other important aspects of your life. I previously worked at the University of Roehampton, providing short-term counselling to students. I also provided long-term therapy to clients at the Wimbledon Guild and have worked as a telephone adviceline counsellor and a therapist for two Employee Assistance Providers.
